A better fit for your business

A reliable home for your website, with the right level of care.

Your website should make it easy for people to find your business, understand what you offer and take the next step. The hosting behind it needs to suit the way the site is built, the traffic it receives and the people looking after it. Radian can bring the website, hosting, domain and ongoing support into a coordinated conversation, whether you are launching your first site or reviewing an established business platform.

We can discuss cost-conscious hosting for a straightforward brochure site, a managed environment for an actively maintained WordPress website, or a dedicated arrangement for a more demanding application. UK hosting and international locations can be explored around your audience and operational requirements. The useful starting point is the website itself: its software, content, business purpose and the support your team would like us to provide.

A platform that fits the website

A compact company website and a busy customer application need different resources. We consider the site framework, database, content, integrations and likely traffic before recommending an arrangement. This helps avoid paying for capacity with little practical value, while allowing the important requirements to receive proper attention. The proposal can also identify a sensible path for growth as the website develops.

Choose how much you want to manage

Some customers have a developer or internal team that wants to control the website environment. Others prefer an agreed managed service covering more of the routine care. We make the responsibilities clear across the hosting platform, website software, updates, backups and changes. You can retain control of your content while discussing the technical work you would like Radian to coordinate.

Keep related services connected

Hosting, domain registration, DNS, business email and website development are related services with different jobs. Bringing their ownership and support routes into view makes changes easier to organise. If you already have a trusted developer or email provider, we can work around that arrangement. The aim is a clearer service, with the right people involved when the website needs attention.

Clear ownership from day one.

Keep control of your website, or ask us to include more of its ongoing technical care. A managed plan can bring supported updates, monitoring and recovery tasks into a defined operating arrangement. Our 24/7/365 support gives you a route to assistance; the proposal identifies which systems, tasks and response arrangements are included.

The details that shape the result

Understand the choices.
Build on a stronger foundation.

Standard hosting and managed website hosting

Standard hosting provides an agreed environment in which the website runs, with the platform responsibilities defined in the service. Managed website hosting can add an agreed level of application care, such as supported CMS updates, maintenance checks or help coordinating a recovery. Neither label explains every task on its own. We establish who handles the operating environment, website code, themes, plugins, content and third-party integrations, including the approval process for changes that may affect live functionality.

WordPress, other CMS platforms and static websites

A WordPress or other database-driven CMS needs compatible application software, database services and sufficient resources for the work it performs. A static website may serve published files without a CMS database, while still relying on external services for particular functions. We review runtime versions, required modules, background jobs and any deployment process. Supported versions and maintenance arrangements matter as much as the initial installation, especially when a site depends on older or specialist extensions.

Capacity, caching and delivery

Storage is only one part of the requirement. Database activity, application memory, processing limits, simultaneous requests and permitted data transfer can all affect how the website behaves. Caching can reduce repeated work where the content allows it; a content delivery network may help distribute suitable assets closer to visitors. Dynamic pages, logged-in journeys and shopping baskets need an appropriate approach. We assess the actual site and discuss useful measurements rather than choosing purely from a headline disk allowance.

Domains, DNS, email and encrypted connections

A domain is the address visitors use; DNS directs relevant services; hosting runs the website. Business email can be hosted separately and should be included in the change plan even when it is not moving. An appropriate TLS certificate enables an encrypted HTTPS connection, with renewal and configuration responsibilities agreed. Encryption does not replace secure website software, protected accounts or good data handling. Keeping these responsibilities documented makes future changes and troubleshooting easier to coordinate.

Backups, staging, updates and recovery

Agree what is backed up, how often copies are made, how long they remain available and how a restore is requested and checked. Website files and databases may both be required for a usable recovery. A staging environment can provide a place to review supported changes before publication, but it needs its own access and data-handling arrangements. For managed sites, establish how CMS, theme and plugin updates are reviewed, what happens when compatibility problems appear and which development work is included separately.

Migration and everyday service care

Before moving a website, inventory its files, databases, redirects, certificates, scheduled tasks and integrations. Test the new environment using an agreed preview method, including forms and important customer journeys. Coordinate DNS changes, the point at which content changes pause and a practical rollback arrangement. After launch, establish the monitoring and support scope, renewal ownership and review process. A monitored hosting platform and an actively maintained website are complementary responsibilities that should be considered together.

How it could fit your organisation

Different starting points.
A plan for each.

Illustrative project

A local business launching a new website

A professional brochure site may need a modest hosting environment, a domain, encrypted access and a straightforward publishing process. The enquiry journey might use a contact form or a clearly presented email route, depending on the build. We can coordinate those components and agree who supplies content, manages later changes and keeps renewal details current. The result is a practical starting point that leaves room for the next stage of the business.

Illustrative project

An established company moving an existing CMS

A business may want clearer support while retaining its current website design and editor workflow. Begin with a review of the software, licences and integrations, then prepare a tested copy in the proposed environment. Check representative pages, downloads, enquiries and administrative access before scheduling the move. Agree the change window, DNS responsibility and post-migration review so the transition is planned around business activity.

From first conversation to everyday use

Clear steps.
A considered delivery.

  1. 01

    Understand the website

Review the platform, audience, content, integrations and current support arrangements. Identify the everyday tasks and any important commercial journeys the service needs to support.

  2. 02

Shape the hosting and care plan

Match the resources, location and management level to the site. Confirm the included features, responsibilities, licences, recovery arrangements and commercial terms before proceeding.

  3. 03

    Prepare and validate

Build or migrate the agreed environment and check the important journeys. Coordinate domain, DNS and certificate work, with a planned publication sequence and a clear route back if required.

  4. 04

    Support and review

Provide the agreed handover and support route. Review capacity, maintenance findings, renewals and changes as the website develops, so the service continues to reflect the way it is used.

A little clarity goes a long way

Useful answers.
Before you decide.

Tell us about your goals, current setup and timescale. We’ll help you understand the practical choices and bring the next steps together.

Ask us about your project ↗
Do you offer both standard and managed web hosting?

Yes. We can discuss the hosting environment itself and a managed option covering the agreed website-care tasks. The proposal makes clear what is included across the platform, application updates, backups, support and website changes.

Can you host a WordPress website?

We can assess a WordPress requirement, including the current version, theme, plugins, database and any specialist integrations. Supported software and maintenance responsibilities are confirmed before the website is moved or launched.

Can hosting suit a smaller budget?

Yes. We start with the website's actual purpose and requirements, then discuss a proportionate arrangement. A smaller brochure site can have a different resource and care requirement from a busy application or online store.

Can you host websites outside the UK?

Yes. International hosting can be explored around your audience and requirements. We confirm the available region, platform features and service terms for the proposed arrangement, including any separate backup or delivery locations that need consideration.

Will moving the website affect our email?

Email may use the same domain while running on a separate service. We review relevant DNS records and ownership before changes so website and email requirements can be coordinated. Tell us who currently manages each service.

Are content changes included in managed hosting?

Content edits and development are different from maintaining the hosting environment. Tell us the changes you expect to need; we can include an agreed allowance or explain how additional work will be requested and quoted.

Can you take over an existing website?

We can review it first. Access, software support, licences, source files and any existing development arrangements affect what can be transferred and maintained. The review establishes a workable migration and support scope.

Does a backup mean the site can always be restored instantly?

Recovery depends on the available copy, the size of the site and the work required to restore and validate it. We agree the backup scope and recovery process, then consider representative restore checks as part of the service being proposed.
