Business broadband, explained
Everyday internet access.
Chosen around real work.
Business broadband connects your premises to the internet for the mix of email, cloud software, calls and online services your team uses each day. It is generally shared access, with performance and support shaped by the chosen package.
Full fibre (FTTP) runs fibre into your building. Where suitable, SOGEA provides data-only access using fibre-to-the-cabinet infrastructure and a copper final connection. We check what your address supports and compare the full specification.

SOGEA can provide an alternative where full fibre is unavailable, without a separate traditional voice subscription.
Know how to report a fault and what happens next, with support scope and service commitments explained in your proposal.
Ask about fixed public addressing if you use VPNs, remote access or hosted services. Confirm allocation and any charges.
Plan the connection and router around hosted phone services, including upload headroom and supported traffic priorities.

The picture, made clearer
A simplified full-fibre example. The internet service, router and local network each play a different role in what users experience.
A compatible router can use a separate 4G / 5G connection when configured. Agree coverage, data limits and the applications to test.
Explore cellular backup ↗Illustrative design. Actual routing, supported equipment and features depend on the selected service and agreed configuration.
Make an informed choice
Fibre runs to the premises. Available packages and upstream capacity vary by location and network; a full address check comes first.
Data-only access over cabinet-based infrastructure. Line conditions and distance influence achievable rates. Digital calling is arranged separately.
Consider dedicated bandwidth when you need symmetrical capacity, a defined service specification or more control over demanding workloads.
Continuity, considered
A useful broadband review looks at the whole working environment, rather than picking the largest download figure.
Plan your setup ↗Video meetings, shared files and cloud backups all send data. Check the upstream estimate before deciding.
Use wired testing to help separate internet performance from wireless coverage or equipment limitations.
Agree which services should work on an alternative connection, then test that arrangement with them.
From enquiry to everyday use
Establish site availability, access and current equipment.
Agree access type, capacity, addressing and extras.
Plan activation, access visits and any service overlap.
Check wired access, key applications and any backup.
A little more clarity
Have a question about your site?
Start with the address and what you need.
We need your full address to check. Available packages, download estimates and upload estimates are confirmed before ordering; headline network speeds are not a promise for every site.
No. Both use fibre, but ordinary broadband is generally shared access. A leased line provides dedicated bandwidth with its own specification and service agreement.
Yes, a suitable digital calling service can be planned alongside broadband. Existing number transfers need eligibility checks and coordination with the voice providers.
We confirm the addressing included with the proposed package, plus any extra allocation, setup requirements or charges.
It depends on signal, capacity, data limits, addressing and application behaviour. We agree the intended use and test it; it is not a guarantee of uninterrupted service.
UK-wide service enquiries
Broadband availability depends on the installation address, including within the same town. Send the full postcode, current service and required activation date so fibre options, lead times and backup requirements can be checked.
Based in Charlwood, we welcome enquiries nationwide, with a particular focus on Horley, Crawley, Gatwick, Surrey, Sussex and London. Delivery, availability and any site attendance are confirmed for your chosen service.
